The Mathematics Department is one of the oldest Departments in the College which was established in the year 1958. The subject Mathematics was offered in combination with Physics and Chemistry in the year 1958-59, later it was extended along with Physics and Computer Science in the year 1990-91, Economics and Computers in the year 2008-09 and latest with Statistics and Computer Science in the year 2016-17.

The popularity of the Department has lead, the college to start PG Course in Mathematics since 2003 successfully. Most of the alumni attribute their success in Professional Careers to their learning of Mathematics in St. Joseph’s College for Women (Autonomous). |
