Admission Policy and Process


Policy Guidelines :

  • The College follows a transparent admission process and the Government rules for admission to women from reserved categories**, keeping in tune with the privileges of Minority Institutions.
  • Transparency is ensured through the Admission Committee for scrutiny of applications and selection of candidates as well as preparation and display of merit list of the candidates and communication of the same to the students.
  • The college in keeping with its vision and mission admits students without reference to their financial status.
  • The admission policy is guided by the minority norms applicable to minority institutions.
  • The College shall grant preferential admission to outstanding achievers in sports/culturals /other extracurricular fields, on a case to case basis.
  • The College shall encourage International students to apply with cultural friendly measures to enable them to adapt to a new country and residential facilities.
  • The College has admission preference for girls with different abilities and has supportive measures to make them comfortable and successful.
  • The College shall publicise its courses and unique strengths on its website attractively thereby making it easy for potential students, within the state or country or outside to take a decision to join the College.
  • The College shall actively promote and advertise through display of Posters in the places around Visakhapatnam, using TV and Radio.
  • After Admission, the progress and welfare of the wards may be monitored by the parents of the student only. In the event of parents living outside Visakhapatnam/not being alive /being physically incapacitated only a duly authorised guardian may interact with the faculty of concerned department / management to know about their ward’s progress & welfare.
  • ** As per the Madras High Court judgement dated 2014, educational institutes administered by minority groups need not follow reservation for BCs and SC/STs for admission in both aided and unaided courses.
